She earned her stripes in the trenches with the same team she now leads.
Ask anyone in our Sales and Marketing department and they’ll tell you that Rachel Book has a passion for kids and a drive for learning, which served as the foundation for her doctorate in organizational change and leadership from the University of Southern California on top of a master’s in school counseling from Slippery Rock University.
She believes the path to student success begins with helping teachers. She would know, having spent several years in elementary school classrooms and early learning centers molding young minds. She’s also stood on national and international stages presenting fresh ideas about education on behalf of Lincoln Learning Solutions.
Meet Rachel Book, our new Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Rachel, why did you want to take the reins of the Sales & Marketing department?
I am eager to share the amazing things the Lincoln Learning team has accomplished over the past several years with schools throughout the nation and eventually worldwide. We have a wide array of quality products and services that can help students to be the best they can be – no matter their zip codes or their walks of life. I am excited to lead our dedicated sales and marketing team to reach new schools, ensuring that all students benefit from what Lincoln has to offer.
For those who aren’t familiar with your background, tell us what you bring to the table.
I started my career as an elementary school teacher at Midland Elementary School. I taught second grade and kindergarten for over 10 years. Following my time in the classroom, I transitioned to Prima Early Learning (which later became Lincoln Early Learning) and served as executive director. There, I led a team of more than thirty fantastic educators who cared for and educated some of Beaver County’s earliest learners from six weeks to 12 years of age.
What are some of the items you’ll be tackling right away?
Our team has already hit the ground running with our newly launched campaigns to sell our credit recovery, cursive writing, and elective courses. Right now, I am researching e-commerce partners in hopes of providing clients with the opportunity to purchase our courses directly online.
What are your long-term goals?
I’m committed to obtaining strong brand awareness and growing our footprint so we can attain organization-wide growth.
