When Bill Evans made his first trip to Beaver County last summer, he recounted Evan-Moor’s challenging and humble beginnings. Begun in 1979 as a mom-and-pop business with his sister, Joy, and best friend Jo Ellen Moore, Joy’s and Bill’s mom literally took care of the books and their dad ran the “warehouse.” It was a struggle, but they persevered.

Today, Evan-Moor is making a host of procedural transitions to align itself more closely with  Lincoln Learning Solutions. It’s not a simple feat, but the Evan-Moor team cut its teeth on tough times, so we think they have it covered.

Foremost, curriculum and IT teams are working hand in hand to incorporate Evan-Moor digital assets into Lincoln Learning Solution’s existing Lincoln Empowered courses and Empowered Digital Content Library. The addition of these assets will further our capabilities of delivering best-in-class solutions to a wider range of students.

Evan-Moor has also visited with PA Cyber, introducing themselves and making a presentation of the new educational assets they bring to the school’s process. Shortly after that, LLS HR Director Derinda Rivetti visited with Evan-Moor at their headquarters to facilitate the process of integrating employee relations matters.

LLS will capitalize on additional development opportunities that will expand its footprint. At the same time, it continues supporting and cultivating the growth, culture, and enthusiasm of what has made Evan-Moor successful in the print and digital marketplace – publishing high-quality materials for classrooms, homeschools, and at-home practice.

In fact, they’re doing just that. Bill Evans reported that they just launched five new and revised series for 2019, including comprehensive STEM lessons, all-new math word problems, colorful grammar and punctuation activities, and art lessons that include downloadable examples of fine art. These engaging new titles provide opportunities for children to think creatively and explore learning topics with hands-on activities and interesting challenges.

The new 2019 titles include:

Develop students’ creative problem-solving skills with STEM challenges! Students apply science, technology, engineering, and math concepts to solve real-world problems. Available as teacher’s resource print book and e-book.

Engage children in full-color, hands-on projects that develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills. STEM challenges and activities encourage children to think creatively and explore different ideas to solve problems.

Improve students’ math problem-solving skills day by day with Daily Word Problems. Each lesson provides a spiral review of math concepts and problem solving with all NEW word problems. Available as teacher’s edition print book and e-book. Student practice books also available.

These colorful activity books make language skill practice fun with interesting themes, a variety of activities, and word games. Help children improve their writing while learning important grammar and punctuation rules.
