Live Well
Once again, Lincoln Learning Solutions is participating in the SparkPittsburgh Step Challenge this fall. Join us as we compete against other companies to prove we work for one of the most healthful and active companies. For the first time, SparkPittsburgh participants will go head-to-head with the city of Cleveland to earn bragging rights. For more information, visit www.SparkPittsburgh.com or contact livewell@babbins.com. Challenge dates are September 1 through October 15. We took the bronze last year. It’s time to reclaim the gold!
Live Well 2.0
To participate in Step Challenge 2019, you have to submit a preventative health exam. If you’re enrolled in the LLS health care plan, the exam is covered. LLS is offering a free biometric screening to all full-time employees again this year. The onsite screening will be offered this month. Evan-Moor and off-site employees can use this voucher to get their screenings. Click the Register link and use the company code: LLearning.

Vaca
We asked everyone to let us know your favorite destinations, especially considering that we’re in the midst of prime time vacation season. Check out some of the responses.
From Lynette Mendenhall: “Taking a cruise is one of the ways I “recharge my batteries”. The attached photos are from the 11 day cruise that I took earlier this year. The first pic is from the island of Bonaire. The second is from Cartagena, Columbia.”

Rochester Facelift
As Kris Colatriano has been reporting at the executive meetings, which you can watch on our Bridging the Gap Channel, building improvements are 95% complete.
If you haven’t had a chance to watch his updates, here’s a quick summary:
All conference rooms in the building were renamed, updated, and customized to meet LLS needs; the reception area was refurbished; and every hallway and room in the building was painted and trimmed. We also got a new roof and an HVAC system.
Whew! That’s a lot. Congrats to the team for a job well done and look out HGTV! Check out the photos here or view them in the Snapshots section of "The Bridge."
Security briefing
Ranger Joe has been in the weeds, but you can look for a new communique from him in our next edition of “The Bridge.” Meanwhile, we thought a reminder was in order. Recently, ne’er-do-well hackers used a voice mail scheme to trick unaware email users into forking over their passwords. You can be sure our IT team was all over it. Please always remember that if you receive an unexpected email that contains links or attachments, contact the sender before opening them. If you happen to click on an enclosed attachment link, check the address in the browser's address bar to see if it looks suspicious. If anything looks even the slightest bit off, close the browser and do not continue. Be sure to contact the security team at ITCyberSecurity@lincolnlearningsolutions.org if you have fallen for a scam or ever have doubts or questions.

Cruisin’ for a cause
Lincoln Learning Solutions will host the first United To Make A Difference Car Cruise to benefit the United Way of Beaver County. The cruise will be held on Sunday, Aug. 4 at the Brady’s Run Lodge from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Highlights include a DJ, food trucks, children’s activities, and a 50/50 raffle.
We are also in need of volunteers to work this event by selling 50/50 tickets, helping with parking, and setting up for and cleaning up after the event. Please contact Esther Anderson if you are interested in volunteering. Volunteers will be divided into a morning group and an afternoon group. Please let Esther know if you have a time preference. Sponsorship opportunities are available through July 12. If you own a business or know someone who does, please contact Esther for more information on becoming an event sponsor.
Smooth landing
IT recently rolled out a new ServiceNow landing page. If you’ve used it, you’ve seen quite a difference, not the least of which is the fancy landing page. It looks great! Besides that, Daryl Care wrote recently to tell us the highlights. Here’s a reminder:
Shout outs
Many thanks to Evan-Moor’s marketing manager, Theresa Wooler, who served as our Monterey correspondent, assuring that we had up-to-date info for "The Bridge" from our West Coast family.
Doff your cap to Lowell Engelman, our very own Jimmy Olsen-Ansel Adams hybrid, and thank him for capturing so many great photos for “The Bridge.”
